The Yoga of Greenspayoga.

What is yoga?
Yoga is a type/form of therapeutic “exercise”. Yoga means únity’ or óneness’ and it is derived from the Sanskrit word yui which means to ‘join’. On a more physical level, yoga is a mean of balancing and harmonizing the body mind and emotions. This done by practising asanas (Physical postures) pranayama (Breathing techniques) mudra (Energy gestures) banda (muscular locks) shaktkarma (Cleansing rituals) and meditation .

What to expect from this yoga class.
The class will usually be an hour long, the class starts off with some relaxation  techniques and breathing exercises, then gentle asanas to warm up the body, then more intense asanas which can be anything from floor, laying, sitting, standing, prop or wall asanas, then the last 10 min will be meditation time, relaxation visualization.
The bulk of the class will be Bihar yoga, but I love to incorporate Hatha, Asthanga, Pavamukti and anything creative to keep the classes enjoyful.

Very Important.
Sign the Yoga Class Weaver Form. It is very important to listen to your own bodies and your own limitations. The yoga teacher is not responsible for any injury, loss or any other misfortune. Yoga is quite safe for any age, gender, sex, race etc but some medical conditions like Heart problems, muscoskeletal problems, high blood pressure, diabetes, asthma, pregnancy or any other health or medical conditions may have some comprimisations with some of the asanas and must be bought under the yoga teacher’s attention and then a more appropriate asana will be implemented for your needs.

What to wear, what to bring, what to do before or after a class?
Any comfortable clothes may be worn that does not restrict any body movement. Traditionally yoga is practised bare foot.
You are welcome to bring your own yoga mat, blanket, towel, water bottle but all provide for at GreenSPAYoga and you are at most welcome to make use of it.
Preferable one should not eat heavily (at all) just before a yoga class so that your abdomen is empty when practising asana. The same goes with water. It also is advisable to go to the restroom before the class as to experience a comfortable class.
